Allen Wendell Dale Bronson passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, at the age of 81. He was in good health until 2017 when he was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born at home on September 2, 1935 to Oscar and Alice Bronson in Cashton, Wisconsin.

Allen graduated from Cashton High School and National University of Health Sciences (National College of Chiropractic) in Lombard, Illinois where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

He married Elizabeth (Woerner) "Betsy" Bronson in 1958. Allen lived in the Sioux City, Iowa area for 43...

Allen Wendell Dale Bronson passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, at the age of 81. He was in good health until 2017 when he was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born at home on September 2, 1935 to Oscar and Alice Bronson in Cashton, Wisconsin.

Allen graduated from Cashton High School and National University of Health Sciences (National College of Chiropractic) in Lombard, Illinois where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

He married Elizabeth (Woerner) "Betsy" Bronson in 1958. Allen lived in the Sioux City, Iowa area for 43 years before moving to Naples, Florida in 2003. He practiced Chiropractic 40 years and Acupuncture for 30 years at McCook Lake, North Sioux City, South Dakota.

He served in the Army and Air National Guard.

He was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church. He placed great value on education. Allen was a member of the Island Walk Fishing Club since 2003. He was an avid fisherman all of his life. Four generations of Bronsons; Oscar, Allen, Wendell and Taylor, hunted pheasants in South Dakota. He took great interest in his Norwegian ancestry and genealogy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Alice Bronson, brother Owen Bronson and sister Vivian Hilden.

Allen is survived by his wife Betsy Bronson; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Wendell and Melanie Bronson; daughter, Alison Bronson; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Amy Bronson and Brent Simonds; and five grandchildren, Dr. Taylor Bronson, Sarah Bronson, Laura Holthus, Andrew Holthus, and Lynn (Holthus) Himes.

Services: Tuesday June 20th, 11 a.m., Portland Lutheran Church, Cashton Wisconsin Interment: Portland Lutheran Church Cemetery

The family will receive friends on Monday June 19, 5-7 p.m. at Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton, Wisconsin.

The family suggests memorial gifts to Peace Lutheran Church, Naples, Florida; Portland Lutheran Church Cemetery fund, Cashton, Wisconsin; or National University of Health Sciences, Lombard, Illinois.
